Some friendships last,
some folks forgive,
some people won't.
When there's been a misunderstanding,
and a friend feels betrayed,
that's when a little understanding
goes a long, long way.
A house, once warm and inviting,
now fills you with despair.
The welcome sign has been taken down;
you're no longer wanted there.
What took a long time to build
can be destroyed in a day.
A heart infused with love
can get defused that way.
There's nothing you can say
and nothing you can do
to save a sinking friendship
when your friend won't talk to you.
Join me in a glass of beer,
let's have a round of drinks.
I'll drink to 'love' but not 'old friends'
'cause sometimes friendship stinks!
So why do people who once seemed to be close to your heart drift away from your life for one reason or other?? What is there to be taken when it is not shared??
